Women’s Soccer to Host Gardner-Webb on Sunday

ORANGEBURG, SC — SC State Lady Bulldogs (0-8) women's soccer team return to action Sunday when they host, visiting The Runnin' Bulldogs (3-7 overall; 1-1 Big South Conference) of Gardner-Webb at the O.C. Dawson/Willie Jeffries field. First kick is at 1 p.m.

In their last outing, South Carolina State match-up scheduled on Sept. 23 against Charleston Southern was postponed due to inclement of bad weather, while Gardner-Webb dropped a tough, 2-1, decision to Winthrop on Wednesday (Sept. 22).

The last time the two teams met was Sept. 20, 2019, with GWU defeating the Lady Bulldogs 3-1 at home. The Runnin' Bulldogs lead the series 3-1 over SCSU.

Next up, South Carolina State return to action Sunday (Oct. 3) to take on Virginia Military Institute at home in a 1 p.m., start.
