ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State volleyball team seek their first win of the season this weekend, when they open Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play Friday (Sept. 24
th) versus visiting Coppin State (6-6) at Dukes Gymnasium. First serve is 6 p.m.
Junior
Maria Julia Vedovatto Loureiro leads the Lady Bulldogs (0-8) with 54 kills, followed by
Gabrielle Wells with 24 and
Maya Rembert with 11 on the season.
Second-year head coach
Dawn Barnes is 0-16 during her tenure of the Lady Bulldog volleyball program.
South Carolina State returns to league play on Sunday (Sept. 26
th) when they host Morgan State in a 1p.m. start.
