LAST TIME OUT

• South Carolina State dropped some tough defeats in the Mississippi State Tournament in their last outings with losses to Troy (51-94), Jackson State (37-97) and host Mississippi State (47-85).
• Freshman guard Nicole Gwynn was named MEAC Rookie of the Week leading the Bulldogs in scoring in three of their four games this past week, including a pair of 22-point games against Wake Forest and Mississippi State. She hit six 3-pointers in the Mississippi State contest, and Gwynn also had 16 points to lead South Carolina State against Troy.
• Prior to that, freshman guard MeKayla Lumpkin earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors having the best game of her young collegiate career against Western Carolina, dropping a team- and season-high 15 points on 4-for-6 shooting – including a perfect 3-for-3 effort from 3-point range. She was also 4-for-4 from the free throw line and chipped in a pair of steals.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

• The Lady Bulldogs enters the contest seeking their first win of the season after a rough start due to injuries.
• Trinity Klock, a preseason All-MEAC second team selection is the leader for the Bulldogs averaging 9.5 points, 7.5 boards and 1.67 blocks per game
• Freshman guard Nicole Gwynn averages 11.5 points and 4.5 boards

SERIES HISTORY (Series tied 1-3)

• Furman leads the series 1-3 in the last four meetings.
• The Paladins won the last meeting 46-59 on the road in Greenville, SC over the Lady Bulldogs on Nov.16, 2015.
