Bulldogs Wins Second Straight with An 90-88 Overtime Win Over Tennessee St.

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball team extended their winning streak to two in a row after a thrilling 90-88 overtime win over Tennessee State Saturday( Dec. 18th) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

Prior to Saturday's win, SC State dominated Carver College with a 105-46 win at home.  Five Bulldogs post double-figures with freshman guard TJ Madlock leading the way with a team-high 16 points, while Deaquan Williams added 13 points and nine rebounds.

Latavian Lawrence added the games only double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Meanwhile, versus TSU junior guard Rahsaan Edwards finished with a game-high 19 points, while TJ Madlock recorded the teams only double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds on the day.

South Carolina State improves to 5-8 overall on the season.

UP Next for SC State
South Carolina State returns to action on Monday (Dec. 20th) versus The Citadel in a 5 pm start, followed by a showdown with Charleston Southern Tuesday (Dec. 21st).
