GAME 1: THE CITADEL
- The Bulldogs avenged an early season in an 74-57 win over host The Citadel in the opening round of the Cobbb Dill & Hammett Classic.
- Three Bulldogs were in double-figures to lead the way with freshman guard TJ Madlock finishing with a team-high 18 points, 8 rebounds and three assist, while Cameron Jones and Jemal Davis added 11 each in the win.
- Edward Oliver-Hampton played a key reserve role with 7 points and 6 rebounds.
- The Bulldogs shot 53.3% from three-point range connecting on 8-of-15 on the day.
GAME 2: Charleston Southern
- South Carolina State closed out the day on a clean sweep knocking off Charleston Southern 75-65 in day two of the Classic.
- TJ Madlock had a season-best day scoring a game-high and the games only double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
- Cameron Jones finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, while teammate Deaquan Williams adding 12 points and five rebounds to close out the Classic.
- The Bulldogs shot 83.3% from behind the connecting 20-of-24 from behind the charity stripe
South Carolina State improves to 7-8 overall on the season.
