Head coach
Audra Smith in her fourth season at the helm, will have a new look with her team this season welcoming 11 newcomers and six returners on this year's squad.
The Series
The Monarchs and Lady Bulldogs have played two times with ODU winning each. Old Dominion bested SCSU 79-63 in the first meeting on Dec. 29, 2012, before topping the Bulldogs 52-35 on Dec. 30, 2017. Both games took place at Chartway Arena.
A LOOK AT SC STATE
The Lady Bulldogs played just 10 games in the 2020-21 season, going 1-9 before canceling the remainder of their season in early February. The year prior, South Carolina State went 3-27, 2-14 in the MEAC.
Trinity Klock reaped MEAC All-Rookie Team honors at the end of last season, averaging 11.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.
S.C. State was picked to finish last in the eight-team MEAC this season. Klock also garnered Second Team Preseason All-MEAC distinctions.
About ODU
The Monarchs hosted Christopher Newport in an exhibition last week, winning 87-70. Amari Young led all players with 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting while coming up with four steals in only 19 minutes of action.
What's Next
The Lady Bulldogs return to action when Saturday (Nov. 13
th) when they host Coastal Carolina in a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
