ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball team will host St. Andrews University in their home-opener Thursday (Nov. 18
th) Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tip-off is 8 p.m.
The Bulldogs (0-5) seek their first win off the season after a tough 60-76 loss to SEC power Georgia on Tuesday (Nov. 16
th) in Athens, GA.
Cameron Jones finished with 9 points and seven (7) rebounds, while freshman guard
T.J. Madlock added six points in the loss.
SC State leads the series 2-0 over St. Andrews with wins of 94-46 (11/14/2016) and 80-48 (2/14/15) both in Orangeburg.
The Knights (1-4) are coming off a 96-43 Exhibition loss to USC-Upstate in their last outing on the road. Xzavier McFadden and Issac Clay are each averaging a little over 11.5 points per contest.
Next up South Carolina State host USC-Upstate Tuesday (Nov. 23
rd) at home in a 7 p.m. tip-off in S-H-M.
