NORFOLK, Va.,— South Carolina State sophomore Jada Banks earned her second straight league honor on being named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC
) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced.
Banks (So., Conyers, Ga.) turned in the weekend's fastest 5K time, running a 19:10.8 at the Chanticleer Challenge hosted by Coastal Carolina, finishing 23
rd in a field of nearly 90 runners.
Other earning honors,
Delaware State junior Albert Norman was named MEAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, respeticely.
Norman (Jr., Georgetown, Del.) broke his own modern-day program record, completing the 8K course at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University in 25:33.30 to finish third overall.

Laura Menendez (Maryland Eastern Shore) completed the 6K course at the Don Cathcart Invitational in 25:00.5, finishing 21
st.
Juan Rodriguez (North Carolina Central) helped the Eagles win the Cedric Walker HBCU Challenge, coming in second with an 8K time of 26:45.0.
Victoria Swepson (North Carolina Central) came in third in the Cedric Walker HBCU Challenge, running the 5K course in 19:52.0.
Trey Felton (South Carolina State) was 26
th in the Chanticleer Challenge, running a 28:09.7 over 8K.
