DURHAM, NC—The South Carolina State men's and women's basketball team begin the start of a two-game MEAC road swing starting Saturday (Feb. 1
st) versus the Eagles of North Carolina Central at McDougald-McLendon Arena.
Tip-off for the women is 2 p.m., followed by the men in a 4 p.m. start. You can watch the men's contest live on Flosportstv.com.
Both teams look to rebound after tough losses to Bethune-Cookman in their last outing. The Lady Bulldogs (3-17 overall, 2-5 MEAC) suffered a 66-55 setback to the Lady Wildcats, while the Bulldogs (9-10 overall, 4-3 MEAC) fell short 80-84 in a thriller in the men's contest.
The Eagles (8-12 overall, 4-2 MEAC) are coming off a 72-45 win over Delaware State at home, while the Lady Eagles (5-14 overall, 2-4 MEAC) look to bounce back after an 60-64 loss to DSU.
Next up South Carolina State will head to Greensboro, NC to take on rival N.C. A&T in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) doubleheader Monday, beginning with the women's contest at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's contest in a 7:30 p.m. start.
