JACKSONVILLE, Fla—The South Carolina State women's soccer suffered a tough, 4-0, setback on the road to North Florida Thursday (Sept. 26
th) at Hodges Stadium.
The Lady Bulldogs still without several starters managed on three substitutions to NFU 16 on the night.
"Tonight's game was a hard-fought battle," said head coach Sandy Burris. "First half we were even on corners and kept the shot count to a minimal and we were well organized defensively."
NFU led 1-0 during intermission. Three unanswered goals in the second half sealed the victory for the Ospreys.
Burris noted, "UNF was able to break us down in 75 minutes." "I am proud of the players for being all in and playing for each other and understanding their roles. We are a team with heart, and it showed with missing two starters to national team duty and three to injuries."

Jaidyn Christophe finished with a team-high six (6) saves. South Carolina State falls to 1-7 on the season, while North Florida improves to 6-3-1.
Next up South Carolina State will host East Tennessee State Monday (Sept. 30
th) at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium/Willie Jeffries Field. First kick is 7 p.m.
