ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's soccer dropped a tough 2-1 defeat to Winthrop on Friday evening in Rock Hill, SC.
Winthrop (1-0-1) got on the board early, scoring in the seventh minute with a goal by Gabi Hull and an assist by Keeley Leising. The Lady Bulldogs (0-3) battle back to tie the score 1-1 off a goal by Katelyn Lauizere and an assist from junior
Tamika Aguilar.
The Eagles pounded the Bulldogs in the second half and were finally able to pull ahead in the 64
th minute, on a goal by senior JoJo Taylor and assist by Allie Thomas, which proved to be the game-winner.
