BUIES CREEK, N.C. ­– The South Carolina State women's soccer team will open the 2018 season Friday (Aug.17^th) on the road against Campbell University at the J. Burt Gillette Soccer Park in Wilson, NC. First Kick is set for 7 p.m.

Coach Sandy Burris and the Lady Bulldogs look to rebound after a disappointing 2-10-a record last season.  South Carolina state welcomes six (6) new freshman and four (4) transfers to add to a veteran team from a year ago.

South Carolina State got off to a great start in preseason posting a 2-0 victory over Gardner-Webb.

The two squads have met six time since their first meeting in 2009. The Camels hold a 6-0 record over the Lady Bulldogs.

SCSU returns to action on Monday (Aug. 20^th) on the road in Lexington, VA versus Virginia Military Institution (VMI) in a 4 p.m. start.
