BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The South Carolina State women's soccer team will open the 2018 season Friday (Aug.17
th) on the road against Campbell University at the J. Burt Gillette Soccer Park in Wilson, NC. First Kick is set for 7 p.m.
Coach Sandy Burris and the Lady Bulldogs look to rebound after a disappointing 2-10-a record last season. South Carolina state welcomes six (6) new freshman and four (4) transfers to add to a veteran team from a year ago.
South Carolina State got off to a great start in preseason posting a 2-0 victory over Gardner-Webb.
The two squads have met six time since their first meeting in 2009. The Camels hold a 6-0 record over the Lady Bulldogs.
SCSU returns to action on Monday (Aug. 20
th) on the road in Lexington, VA versus Virginia Military Institution (VMI) in a 4 p.m. start.
