ORANGEBURG, SC---The South Carolina State women's volleyball team suffered another setback dropping and tough, 3-0, defeat to Bethune-Cookman Friday (Nov.9
th) at Dukes Gymnasium.
BC-U defeated South Carolina State in straight sets 25-14, 25-17 and 25-19 to improve to 14-15 overall, 6-3 in the MEAC, while SCSU falls to 1-25 overall, 1-8 in the league.
Freshman
Kyra Marshall led the way for the Lady Bulldogs with 10 kills, 22 assists and 11 points, while sophomore
Alexus Holt added 19 assists and junior
Desiree Walker a career-high nine (9) kills, 19 assists and nine (9) points in the loss.
South Carolina State wraps up the regular season on Sunday against FAMU in a 1 p.m. start. The Lady Bulldogs will also be holding "Senior Day" in a pregame ceremony honors two-student athletes who will be closing out their collegiate careers.
