ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's volleyball team suffered yet another setback after a 3-0 defeat to Presbyterian College on Tuesday (Oct.9
th) at Dukes Gymnasium.
SC State didn't make it easy for PC dropping three (3) straight sets, 25-18, 27-15 and 25-15 to fall to 1-18 overall, 1-2 in the MEAC. PC improves to 7-10.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by sophomore
Alexus Holt with a team-high 18 team assists, eight (8) kills and seven (7) digs. Freshman T'Meyah Burgess added 17 team assists and eight (8) digs, while
Kyra Marshall had a solid night with 16 assist and six (6) digs.
Next up South Carolina State matches this weekend with Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M have been postponed due to the threat of Hurricane Michael. More information concerning rescheduling will be given at a later date.
