DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—The South Carolina State men's tennis put on a dominating performance with a 4-0 victory over Bethune-Cookman Friday (Mar. 24) at the City Island Tennis Courts.
South Carolina State improves to 7-7 overall, 3-0 in the MEAC and remain the top-ranked team in the southern division.
The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the board capturing the doubles point with Yanchenko/Baco def. Lopez/Almedia 6-2 and Stupar/Diaz winning 6-1 over Ocampo/Barrrera.
Meanwhile in singles action,
Jakub Vitek def. Almedia (6-2,6-1) at the No. 3 spot; Alexsander Stupar def. Lopez (6-2,6-1) at the No. 4 spot and
Edgar Diaz def. Ruiz 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot.
The Bulldogs return to action on Sunday (Mar.26) when they host University of Delaware in a non-conference matchup at the
Hardeep Judge Tennis Complex. First serve is 2 p.m.
