SAVANNAH, GA—The South Carolina State women's basketball team closes out the regular season Thursday (Mar. 2) on the road versus host Savannah State in the first of a MEAC doubleheader at Tiger Arena. Tipoff is 6 p.m.

The last time the two teams met this season Savannah State posted an 60-49 victory (1/16/17) over South Carolina State in Orangeburg. Bryeasha Blair finished with a team-high 17 points.

SSU (10-18 overall, 7-8 MEAC) looks to snap a four-game losing skid after a tough 51-58 defeat to North Carolina Central on Monday.  Meanwhile, SC State look to bounce back after a tough 61-81 loss to FAMU. Blair led the way with 16 points.

Blair remains among one of the top performers in the MEAC leading the way with 17.5 ppg/2^nd in the MEAC, while junior forward Drumgoole at 11.1 points per outing/16^th in the MEAC. Bradley anchors the frontcourt in rebounding with 6.4/10^th in the MEAC per outing while scoring 6.4 points per game.

Kenyata Hendrix is the leader for Savannah State with 11.8 ppg, while Lauren Moss adds 10.9 per contest. Tiyonda Davis is the leader on the boards with 8.9 and 8.3 ppg.
