ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball team look to finish strong in their regular season home finale against Florida A&M, in the first of a MEAC doubleheader Saturday (Feb.25) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 2 p.m.

The last time the two teams met South Carolina State defeated Florida A&M 68-62 in Orangeburg. Bria Ratliff led the way with a team-high 23 points in the win.

FAMU enters the contest after suffering a tough 41-64 loss to top-ranked Bethune-Cookman. Dawn King led the way with 11 points. Meanwhile, SC State look to bounce back after a heartbreaking 63-66 defeat to Coppin State in the closing minutes. Graduate guard Bryeasha Blair led the way with 20 points.

Blair remains among one of the top performers in the MEAC leading the way with 17.6 ppg/2^nd in the MEAC, while junior forward Drumgoole at 11.1 points per outing/15^th in the MEAC. Bradley anchors the frontcourt in rebounding with 6.5/10^th in the MEAC per outing while scoring 7.4 points per game.

FAMU (10-17 overall, 8-6 MEAC) is 5^th in league standings and is led by Florene Quattara with 8.5 ppg. Shakerrya Morrison adds 8.2, while leading the way in the frontcourt with 9.6 rebounds per outing.

Next up South Carolina State plays its final regular season game on the road at Savannah State in a MEAC doubleheader. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.
