Box Score BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's soccer team defeated South Carolina State 4-1 on Wednesday night at Green-Harbison Stadium.
 
Justine Zepeda scored SC State's (1-4-1) only goal of the match in the 85^th minute on an assist from Tierra Pullard. Justina Jarema took two shots (one on goal), while Valery Fernandez-Davila took one shot.
 
Taylor Brittingham and Katelyn Kern split time in goal. Brittingham started the match and saved five shots, while allowing four goals. Kern had three saves.
 
The Lady Bulldogs play their second of four straight road matches on Saturday. They take on UNC Asheville at 7 p.m.
