Box Score TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The South Carolina State women's volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-9) to Florida A&M in the Mid-Eastern Athletic opener for both teams on Friday morning at Tully Gym on the campus of Florida State.
 
The match was played at FSU due to FAMU's Hall of Fame induction being held on Friday night, which was when the match was originally scheduled to be played.
 
As a team, SC State (0-15, 0-1 MEAC) tallied 15 digs, 14 kills, 13 assists and three total blocks for the match. Briana Dafney had a team-high five kills.
 
Maria Garcia led FAMU (4-11, 1-0 MEAC) with nine kills, while Valeria Lopez had 30 assists.
 
The Lady Bulldogs continue their road trip, stopping in Daytona Beach, Fla. to take on B-CU at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
