Serena Schwartz and
Jamey Thomas each scored one goal in the Lady Bulldogs' 3-2 win over USC Aiken on Wednesday night at the Pacer Pit.
SC State is now 2-5-1 on the season, while USC Aiken fell to 2-4.
The Pacers took a 1-0 lead late in the first half but the Lady Bulldogs tied it up right before halftime when Zepeda headed a corner kick by
Alexandra Kidd into the back of the net.
In the 50
th minute, USC Aiken scored again. Not to be outdone, SC State answered 21 seconds later to tie the match at 2-all. Schwartz scored the first goal of her Lady Bulldog career on an assist from
Mary Pierce.
Thomas recorded her second score of the season, an unassisted goal, in the 71
st minute to seal the win for SC State.
Taylor Brittingham picked up the win after spending the entire 90 minutes in goal and saving four shots.
