SC State Women’s Soccer Falls 4-1 at UNC Asheville

Box Score ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The South Carolina State women's soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss at UNC Asheville (4-4-0) on Saturday night at Greenwood Field.

Freshman midfielder Jaqueline Beristain scored the Lady Bulldogs' only goal of the night on a penalty kick in the 69th minute.
 
As a team, SC State (1-5-1) took a total on nine shots, four on goal, for the match. Goalkeeper Taylor Brittingham fell to 1-3 on the season after spending 90 minutes in goal and allowing four goals while saving eight shots.
 
SC State makes the short trip to Aiken, S.C. to take on USC Aiken in a 7 p.m. match on Wednesday.
