Box Score ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Winthrop women's soccer team scored goals in the 10^th and 50^th minutes to defeat South Carolina State 2-0 on Tuesday night at Eagle Field.
 
The Lady Bulldogs' two shots on goal came from Jamey Thomas and Cortney Welch. As a team, SC State (0-3-1) took six shots. Katelyn Kern and Taylor Brittingham split time in goal and saved two and seven shots, respectively. Each goalkeeper allowed one goal.
 
The Lady Bulldogs have a few days to recoup. They host Wofford at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The game will streamed live via SC State's YouTube channel.
