Box Score 2 CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The South Carolina State women's volleyball team went 0-2 in the first day of play in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Classic on Friday at Maclellan Gym. The Lady Bulldogs fell 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-12) to Presbyterian College in the morning match, then fell 3-0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-8) to host Chattanooga in the evening match.
Against Presbyterian (1-0), sophomore Briana Dafney had a team-high five kills and added three digs and one block assist. Junior
Marcella Chestnut and freshman
Ars'Breana Tyler each finished with three kills.
In the match against Chattanooga (1-0), Dafney led the offense again with seven kills. Freshman
Fabiola Plaza had season-highs of 11 assists and five digs.
The Lady Bulldogs (0-2) continue tournament play on Saturday when they take on Mississippi Valley State at 10 a.m. and Cal State Fullerton at 4:30 p.m.
