NORFOLK, VA—The South Carolina State men's tennis team dominated Bethune-Cookman 4-0 in the semifinal round of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Championship Friday (April. 22) at the Folkes-Stevens Center.

The Bulldogs (11-8) advanced to the title match for the 13^th straight year and will face league rival Florida A&M for the conference crown Saturday (April.23) in a 12 noon showdown.

No.3 seed SC State will look to avenge an earlier season 4-3 (3/26/16) defeat to No. 1 seed FAMU in Tallahassee, Fla.

SC State jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage with wins at the No. 1 spot (6-2) and No. 2 spot (6-4) in doubles play.

In singles action, Vladyslav Yanchenko def. Walid Gtari (7-5, 6-3) at the No. 2 spot; Jakub Vitek def. Justin Hall (6-1, 6-0) at the No. 3 spot and Stanislav Baco def. Jose Plazas (6-4,6-4) at the No. 4 spot to claim the victory.
