CONWAY – The South Carolina State men's tennis team dropped their season-opener, 6-1, to Coastal Carolina Friday (Feb.5)  at the CCU Tennis Complex.

The victory is Coastal's second in as many matches, and improves the Chants to 3-1 overall for the season. Coastal opened the scoring on the doubles court, winning on courts two and three to take the first point.

South Carolina State's lone point came on court four where Vitek bested Schneider in straight sets.

The Bulldogs will have a break before returning to the courts on Saturday, Feb.27 against Clemson University in a 5 p.m. non-conference matchup. In Clemson, SC.
