Tyler Ockleberry were honored prior to the match in the Senior Day Ceremony.
Savannah State (2-25, 2-8 MEAC) took the first set 25-19, but SC State (0-25, 0-10 MEAC) took the second set 25-23 to tie the match at 1-1. The Lady Bulldogs broke a 22-all tie with a kill by
Dashanique Peterson to go up 23-22. A Lady Tiger attack error increased SC State's lead further and the Lady Bulldogs won the match on an SSU service error.
The last two sets were close, but SSU held on to complete the season sweep of SC State.
Brianna Dafney led SC State with 16 kills and added two aces, one dig and one solo block.
Ashante Finnie also had a double-digit performance, finishing with 10 kills.
Fabiola Plaza had 29 assists, six kills and four digs, while Moses had a team-best 14 digs.
The Lady Bulldogs conclude the season next Sunday in a 2 p.m. match at Wofford College.
