Box Score ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State had five players in double-figures with junior guard James "JJ" Richardson leading the way with a team-high 20 points, as the Bulldogs rolled to a 93-76 victory over St. Andrews Monday (Nov. 14) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early nine point lead, 30-39 off an driving layup by Mortimer with 2:59 remaining in the first-half. SC State built its biggest lead of the half 15, 46-31 on a jumper by Riley with 0:41 seconds remaining in intermission
South Carolina State played pressure defense throughout the night forcing a game-high 20 turnovers along with 10 steals.

The Bulldogs shot 15-of- 22 from behind the charity stripe and 37-of-69 from the field, to improve to 1-1 on the season.
South Carolina State returns to action on Friday (Nov. 18) against intrastate rival the University of South Carolina in non-conference matchup. Tip-off is 6:30 p.m.
