Box Score 3 ORANGEBURG, S.C. – In the final three matches of the 2016 season, the South Carolina State women's soccer team lost 3-0 at Coastal Carolina, tied 1-1 in double overtime at Delaware State and wrapped up the season with a 7-0 win at Hampton.
Against Coastal Carolina,
Marissa Horton took the Lady Bulldogs' only shot of the contest.
In the match at Delaware State (4-9-2),
Mary Pierce scored an unassisted goal in the 44
th minute to put SC State (3-11-2) up 1-0 just before halftime. The Lady Hornets tied things up at 1-all in the 61
st minute and neither team was able to score again, even in the two overtime periods.

SC State set several season-highs against Hampton (2-8-1). The Lady Bulldogs recorded season-bests in goals scored (seven), points (17), assists (three), shots on goal (14) and corner kicks (eight). Additionally, it was the first time this season that SC State shut out an opponent.
Kayla Mazariego scored the first two goals of her Lady Bulldog career in the 27

th minutes of the match. SC State also got goals from
