South Carolina State Press Conference Highlights
Sept.  14, 2015
Coastal Carolina at South Carolina State
Head Coach Buddy Pough

Opening Statement
"We played a very god Coastal Carolina team, which proved why they're the top-ranked team in FCS. Things didn't quite go our way and we got off to a slow start which weren't able to recover from offensively."

How do you rate this Florida A&M Rattler team?
"They had two tough games which I thought they played extremely well in. You can tell this team is getting use to the new staff and Coach Alex Woods system. They have so much talent in the state of Florida it won't be long before FAMU is back to their winning ways with Coach Woods leading the way."

After you first two games how do you rate your team?
"Despite the tough loss, you just have to keep working and improve yourself daily.  We have to not get into a downward spiral early on in the game and try to keep the momentum throughout in order to have a chance to be successful and win some games."

How much do you team dwell on a big win and a tough loss?
"We don't dwell on it all. After the Coastal Carolina loss we moved our focus ahead to FAMU and starting preparing for them. It's all about moving this team forward whether it's a big win or a tough loss we have to keep pushing a look straight ahead."

HEAD COACH BUDDY POUGH
Pough Stated, "When you play the caliber of talent in our division like top-ranked CCU it gives you an indication on where you are as a team. When need to get our offense going early and eliminate so many costly turnovers moving forward. We have to take some of the pressure off the defense in order to keep things going."

South Carolina State will have a break from action on next week and return to play on Saturday, Oct. 3 on the road against Furman University. The game will be televised on ESPN3. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
