ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's volleyball team travels to Asheville, N.C. to play in the UNC Asheville Invitational on Friday and Saturday. They take on New Orleans4:30 p.m. on Friday and then play The Citadel at 11:30 a.m. and host UNC Asheville at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The Lady Bulldog volleyball team dropped a hard-fought match to USC Upstate on Tuesday. They played very well, but ended up losing 3-1 to the Spartans. SC State was led by reigning SC State Female Athlete of the Week Kirby Anderson. Anderson tallied 13 kills, 11 digs and 4.5 blocks.
The women's soccer team will take the field on Friday night at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium when they host Winthrop at 7 p.m.
The Lady Bulldog soccer team (1-4) is coming off a 2-0 loss at Presbyterian this past Tuesday. Sophomore Tierra Pullard is the team's offensive leader with three goals and seven points on the season. Senior goalkeeper Haley Austin has spent all season in goal. She has faced 96 shots, saved 44 and allowed 10 goals.
