ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State Bulldogs host the visiting Dolphins of Jacksonville University in a non-conference matchup Saturday (Dec. 12) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tip-off is 2 p.m. and admission is free to the public.
The Bulldogs (4-5 overall, 1-1 MEAC) enter the contest having gone 1-1 on the road last week in MEAC play. Junior guard
Greg Mortimer scored a game-high 21 points to lead SC State to a victory 79-67 over FAMU (12/5/15). A slow shooting slump gave the Bulldogs a 69-54 loss to Bethune-Cookman on Monday (12/7/15).

Eric Eaves with 16.8 points and 2.2 assist. Sophomore guard
Ed Stephens follows with 13.8 points, while senior guard/forward

Meanwhile the Dolphins (4-5), posted two key victories in their last outings with a 97-73 win over Florida Memorial (12/2/15) and 86-82 win over Jacksonville State (12/5/15). Senior guard Kori Babineaux led JU with 21 points (9-of-12), while earning A-Sun Player of the Week for his performance.

JU is led by junior forward Marcel White with 17.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per outing. Kori Babineaux is second with 17.0 points and 4.8 rebounds, while teammate redshirt junior Darius Dawkins add 15.8 ppg and 4.3 rpg.
South Carolina State returns to action on a three-game road swing beginning with Duquesne University (12/6) in Pittsburg, PA at 7 p.m., followed by St. Bonaventure (12/19) in Olean, NY at 2 p.m. and then East Carolina (12/22) in Greenville, NC in a 7 p.m. start.
