Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The South Carolina State women's volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-11, 25-17) at Bethune-Cookman on Sunday afternoon at Moore Gymnasium.
Match NotesSet 1 was tied 20-all, but Bethune-Cookman (10-15, 7-0 MEAC) went on a 5-0 run to take the set. The Wildcats were leading 21-15 in set 2, but SC State (2-17, 2-5 MEAC) rallied to knot things up at 24-24. A Wildcat attack error and kill by
Ashante Finnie gave the Lady Bulldogs the 26-24 set win. B-CU turned up the defense in the next two sets for the overall win.
SC State Highlights and StatsFinnie had a team-high 13 kills and added seven digs and one service ace for the Lady Bulldogs.

Brianna Dafney each had nine kills, while
Melanie Williams and
Marcella Chestnut recorded 10 digs apiece. Williams added 39 assists.
Bethune-Cookman Highlights and StatsDelicia Pierre led B-CU with 15 kills and Normarie Rolon had 15 digs. Hazel Ortiz-Rosado had a match-high 43 assists.
