Box Score TAMPA, Fla. – The USF women's volleyball team shut out South Carolina State 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-14) on Sunday morning in the final match of the USF Invitational.
Junior setter
Melanie Williams earned all-tournament honors for her efforts over the weekend. In three matches, she tallied 45 assists, 27 digs, one kill and one block assist.
For USF (2-4), Dakota Hampton just missed a double-double with nine kills and 10 digs. Alex Mendoza had 18 assists and Amy Van Sant had 11 digs.

Marissa Lawrence each had five kills for SC State (0-7). Williams added a match-high 22 assists, and, for the third straight match,
Tyler Ockleberry led all players in digs, this time with 12.
The Lady Bulldogs play closer to home next weekend when they take part in the Charleston Southern Tournament. They take on host CSU at 6 p.m. on Friday and USC Upstate at 9 a.m. and Jacksonville at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
