ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's and women's tennis teams will return to action on Saturday (March. 8) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic showdown with visiting Bethune-Cookman at the SCSU Tennis Courts
The Bulldogs enters the contest with a 3-4 overall, 1-0 MEAC record after posting a pair of key victories over MEAC foe Norfolk St. (5-2) and Duquesne University (4-3) on last week. The Wildcats (1-10) are off to a sluggish start and dropped a tough 5-2 decision to Campbell University in their last match.
Meanwhile on the women's side, SC State 2-3 overall, 1-0 MEAC won opened up conference play in dominating fashion defeating Norfolk St. ,6-1. Bethune-Cookman comes in at 6-7 overall, 1-0 in the MEAC after knocking off Savannah St.7-0.
The Lady Bulldogs are the nine-time defending MEAC Champions, while the men have won nine of the last ten league titles
. Both teams will return to action on Monday (March 10) against NC Central in the MEAC Roundup held in Florence, SC. First serve begins at 10 a.m.
