LAS VEGAS, NV—The South Carolina State men's basketball team will look for their second straight victory in the Continental Las Vegas Classic on Tuesday (Dec.22), when they take on the Abilene Christian Wildcats in a third round matchup at the Orleans Arena. Tipoff is 2:30 (PST)/5:30 (EST)
The winner between the Wildcats (4-6) and Bulldogs (4-8) will play either Southern Utah or Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday in the final game of the Las Vegas Classic before the Christmas holiday.
In their last outing, ACU dropped a 77-33 decision to Boise State, while SC State knocked off Houston, 71-63 at Hofheinz Pavilion for the first time in school history.
The Bulldogs are led in scoring by freshman guard 
Edward Stephens with 10.8 ppg, while junior forward 
Darryl Palmer is the leader on the boards with 7.2 rebounds and 6.8 points per contest.
Meanwhile ACU, is led by Parker Wentz with 14.1 ppg, while teammate Austin Cooke controls the boards for the Wildcats with 6.3 rebounds and 8.3 points per outing.
