Inside the Game: The SC State women's basketball team travels to Greensboro, N.C. to take on UNC-Greensboro at 7 p.m. on Thursday night. The Lady Bulldogs (5-2) are coming off a 1-1 MEAC outing this past weekend, falling 55-50 to Florida A&M on Saturday and then defeating Bethune-Cookman 68-61 on Monday.
Kourtney Williams and
Jazzmine Johnson are both averaging double figures in scoring with 17.1 and 10.4 points per game, respectively.
Jasmine Coleman is the team's leading rebounder with 5.9 boards per game.
UNCG (3-5) is coming off a 78-67 loss to High Point on Monday. Shanese Harris had career-highs in scoring (17 points) and rebounding (nine rebounds) in the game, while teammate Jarae Savage added 16 points off the bench. Lucy Mason leads the team in scoring with 13.5 points per game and has a team-high 21 steals. Savage is second at 12.8 points per contest and leads the team with 6.0 rebounds per game.

Series History: UNCG leads the all-time series with SC State 2-0. Last season, the Spartans won 72-63 in Greensboro. For SC State,
Kourtney Williams had a game-high 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field. Lucy Mason led UNCG with 17 points and six assists.
Seeing Double: Senior guard
Kourtney Williams has scored in double figures in each of SC State's six games this season. She dropped in a season-high 21 points in the season opener against Allen. On the season, she is averaging 17.1 points on 45-of-112 shooting from the field (40.2 percent).
Looking Ahead: The Lady Bulldogs have three more games before a short break for Christmas. They host Alabama A&M at 1 p.m. on Sunday, then host Jacksonville State in a 6 p.m. contest on Tuesday. Finally, on Sunday, Dec. 21, SC State hits the road to play at Clemson. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
