ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's volleyball team plays its final Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matches of the regular season this weekend when they travel to North Carolina to take on conference foes North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T.
SC State plays at NC Central at 6 p.m. on Friday in Durham and then at NC A&T at 2 p.m. on Sunday in Greensboro. Earlier this season, the Lady Bulldogs (3-22, 3-5 MEAC) defeated the Eagles 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-24, 25-22), but fell 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-23) to the Aggies.
The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 win over Savannah State last Sunday. In that match,
Erica Pritchett had a match-high 15 kills while
Kirby Anderson hit .667 with 11 kills, three total blocks, two aces and two digs.
NC Central (2-24, 2-6 MEAC) went 0-2 over the weekend, losing 3-0 to Bethune-Cookman on Friday and 3-1 to Florida A&M on Sunday. NC A&T (4-21, 4-4 MEAC) fell 3-1 to Florida A&M on Friday and defeated Bethune-Cookman 3-2 on Sunday.
