Erica Pritchett had a match-high 15 kills to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 3-0 win (25-22, 25-22, 25-19) over the Savannah State volleyball team on Sunday afternoon at Dukes Gym.
Pritchett, who was honored in the Senior Day Ceremony prior to the match, added seven digs to help SC State (3-22, 3-5 MEAC) to the season sweep of Savannah State (4-25, 0-8 MEAC).
Each of the three sets was close, but the Lady Bulldogs managed to pull out the straight-set win. The Tigers, however, tried to make a run at the end of the third set. Down 24-15, Savannah State scored four straight points to being the score to 24-19. But an emphatic kill by Pritchett sealed the win for the Lady Bulldogs.
Gabrielle Nathaniel and Justice Dilworth each had six kills the Tigers. Alexis Washington had a team-high 11 digs.
Kirby Anderson had 11 kills, three total blocks (one solo), two service aces and two digs for SC State.
Melanie Williams had a match-high 27 assists and
Tyler Ockleberry led all players with 14 digs.
SC State wraps up regular-season play next weekend with road matches at North Carolina Central at 6 p.m. on Friday and at North Carolina A&T at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
