Box Score FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion women's soccer team scored goals in the 12^th and 81^st minutes to defeat South Carolina State 2-1 on Tuesday night at Hartzler Field.
 
Kelly Anthony got the Patriots (1-10) on the board when she scored at the 12:09 mark. Just over ten minutes later, Dominique Brown found the back of the net on an assist by Amelia Green to tie the game at 1-all.
 
The game remained tied until the 81:54 mark when Tori Whigham scored to seal the first win of the season for Francis Marion.
 
Elizabeth Asare took a game-high seven shots (six on goal) and had two assists for the Patriots.
 
Brown was the Lady Bulldogs' (1-10) leading striker with three shots (one on goal) and one score.
 
SC State returns to action at 5 p.m. on Monday at UNC Asheville.
