Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-20) to Charleston Southern on Tuesday night at Dukes Gymnasium. With the win, CSU improves to 8-13, while SC State drops to 1-17.
In each of the three sets, the teams traded points and kept it close early on, but CSU was able to pull out three straight wins to take the match.
Kylie Klein hit .467 with nine kills and three total blocks for the Bucs. Amanda Metz and Meredith Parrott each had seven kills. Metz added five digs, while Parrott had four block assists.
Marissa Lawrence led the Lady Bulldogs with nine kills and had five digs, two block assists and one service ace.
Erica Pritchett had eight kills and
Melanie Williams had 14 assists.
The Lady Bulldogs continue their homestand with Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matches against North Carolina A&T at 6 p.m. on Friday and North Carolina Central at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
