ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's volleyball team plays its final home match of the season this Sunday at 2 p.m. in Dukes Gym. The Lady Bulldogs host Savannah State and will honor
Erica Pritchett prior to the game in the Senior Day Ceremony.
SC State is 2-22 on the season and 2-5 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Savannah State (2-24, 0-7 MEAC) 3-1 (25-22, 25-13, 22-25, 25-20) on Oct. 3 in Savannah, Ga. In that match,
Marissa Lawrence had a double-double of 16 kills and 14 digs, while
Kirby Anderson 11 kills, nine digs and seven total blocks.
The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a tough 3-2 loss to Bethune-Cookman last Sunday. Pritchett matched her career-high with 18 kills and Anderson had stellar game recording 10 kills, 10 total blocks (four solo) and four digs, while hitting .375.
Savannah State dropped its last match 3-0 to Mercer University on Wednesday. The Tigers are led in kills by Justice Dilworth with 139 for the season. Caitlynn Masoe has a team-leading 374 assists and Alexis Washington has 202 digs.
