Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Florida A&M women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 win (25-14, 25-19, 25-13) over South Carolina State on Friday evening at Dukes Gymnasium. With the win, the Rattlers improved to 8-13 overall and 6-0 in Mid-Eastern Athletics Conference play. The Lady Bulldogs fell to 2-21 and 2-4.
Each of the three sets were close to start, but FAMU found a way to pull out the win each time.
Tamar Fowler and Pamela Soraino had 12 and 10 kills for FAMU, respectively. Valeria Lopezz had a match-high 32 assists.
For SC State,
Erica Pritchett had a team-high nine kills.
Melanie Williams had a team-best 18 assists.
The Lady Bulldogs continue conference play on Sunday when they host Bethune-Cookman at 2 p.m.
