SC State women's soccer team host Stetson Sunday

Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's soccer team will host Stetson, Sunday (Sept. 8), in its first of two straight home matches. Sunday's contest is set for a 1 p.m. first kick. The Lady Bulldogs will host Emmanuel College on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.

SC State enters the contest with a .500 record at 3-3. Senior Kaitlynn Cortez currently leads the team with two goals and three assists for seven points. Junior Janell Cash has six points (three goals) while junior Dominique Brown has five points (2 goals-1 assist).

Stetson, who enters the match with a 1-2-1 record, is led by Amber Grose with three assists for three points. Alyssa Welsh, Kait Jones and Carmen Bernecker have two points each for the Hatters.

After Tuesday's contest, the Lady Bulldogs will hit the road for its next four-of-five matches, beginning next weekend (Friday and Sunday, Sept. 13 and 15) at the GWU/Under Armour Border Classic hosted by Gardner-Webb.
