SC State Women's Volleyball Opens MEAC Play Friday Versus Bethune-Cookman

SC State host Bethune-Cookman Friday
Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's volleyball team will open its 2013 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play this Friday, Sept. 27, when they host the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats. First serve for Friday's match is set for 7 p.m. at Duke Gymnasium on the campus of SC State.

SC State enters the contest with a 0-13 overall record. Senior Desire Waller is the leading attacker for the Lady Bulldogs with 134 kills (3.44 kills/set). Senior Alyse Lewis and freshman Victoria Ferguson leads the team defensively with 34 blocks and 115 digs, respectively.

Bethune-Cookman brings a 1-14 overall record into Friday's match. This is also the MEAC opener for the Lady Wildcats, who is led by Delicia Pierre with 147 kills (3.20 kills/set) and 31 total blocks.

The Lady Bulldogs will remain home Sunday, Sept. 29, when they host the Lady Rattlers of Florida A&M. First serve for Sunday's contest is set for 3 p.m. in Dukes Gym.
