Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State men's and women's cross-country teams will travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to participate in the 27th Annual Winthrop/Adidas Cross-Country Invitational. A total of 19 schools will be competing in the meet, which will be held this Saturday (Sept. 21) at the Winthrop Lake course.
The 8K men's race will start things off at 9 a.m. followed by the 5K women's run at 9:45. All 19 schools will compete in the women's 5K while 18 teams will compete in the men's 6K.
In addition to SC State and host Winthrop, the other colleges and universities entered include:
Alabama-Huntsville, Anderson (SC), Appalachian State, Benedict, Claflin, Davidson (women only), Emmanuel, Emory & Henry, Erskine, Gardner-Webb, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mars Hill, Presbyterian College, Shorter, Spartanburg Methodist, Western Carolina, and Wofford.
Awards will be presented following the meet to the top two teams and the top 12 individual finishers in both races
