SC State Women’s Soccer Host Presbyterian in its 2013 Home-Opener

SC State host Presbyterian in 2013 home-opener
Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's soccer team will host Presbyterian College in its 2013 home-opener, tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 28 in a 7 p.m. contest.  All Lady Bulldogs home games are played at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on the campus of SC State and are free of charge. 

SC State opened its 2013 campaign with a 1-1 record.  In its season opening contest on Friday, Aug. 23, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Alabama A&M, 5-0.  SC State then dropped a 0-5 decision to Alabama State on Sunday (Aug. 25).

Senior Kaitlynn Cortez leads SC State with one goal and one assist for three points on the young season.

This will be the season opener for the Presbyterian Blue Hose.  The Blue Hose finished 2012 with a 3-15 overall record.

The Lady Bulldogs will remain home this weekend (Friday and Sunday, Aug. 30 and Sept. 1) when they host the four-team Sleep Inn/Bulldog Tournament.  The tournament gets underway on Friday at 5 p.m. with Francis Marion-University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) matchup,  followed by the SC State-Gardner-Webb contest at 7:30 p.m.  The Lady Bulldogs kick things off on Sunday at 11 a.m. when they host the UAB.  The Francis Marion-Gardner-Webb game immediately follows at approximately 1 p.m.
