SC State Tennis Teams Close Out Regular Season On Road Against Newberry

NEWBERRY, SC—The South Carolina State men's and women's tennis teams will close out their 2013 regular season schedule Monday on the road against Newberry College. First serve begins at 3 p.m.
        The Lady Bulldogs (13-4 overall, 6-0 MEAC) clinched the southern division and will enter next week's MEAC Tennis Championship as the No. 1 seed, meanwhile the Bulldogs (12-4 overall, 3-1 MEAC) have suffered one league loss early on against Norfolk State will be a No.1 or No.2 seed in the league championships held April 19-21 in Raleigh, NC at the Millbrook Tennis Complex.
         Coach Hardeep Judge who is in his 12th season at the helm will look to claim his 18th Mid-Eastern Athletic Tennis Championship while taking over both the men's and women's tennis programs.
        SC State will face a tough Newberry Wolves (13-8, 5-5 conference) team , meanwhile the Lady Wolves (12-10, 5-4  conference) will try to snap a two-game losing streak having dropped tough decisions to Tusculum (2-7) and North Georgia (3-6).
          Both teams will return to action on this weekend when they compete in the 2013 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tennis Championships.
