FLORENCE, SC—The South Carolina State men's tennis team improved to 3-2 on the season, after knocking off NC Central 4-0 in at the MEAC Tennis Roundup Monday.
Coach Hardeep Judge and the Bulldogs took full control of the match earning the doubles point early with Protsenko/Nikitin def. Gerasimon/Fabara (8-2); Vinogradovs/Dragoi def. Persico/George(8-2) and Stiburek/Bizon knocked off Kienka/Hoyte 8-2.
In single action junior Artemiy Nikitin won in two sets 6-0, 6-0 over George, while freshmen Jiri Stiburek (6-2, 6-1) and Marius Dragoi (6-0, 6-1) both earned victories in two sets on the day.
South Carolina State will return to action on Thursday when the travel to Charlotte, NC to take on James Madison University. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
