Bulldogs fall to 9-3 on season

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State Bulldogs fell to 9-3 after a tough 5-2 defeat to NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology) Highlanders on Wednesday at the SCSU Tennis Courts.
        The Bulldogs fell behind early dropping the doubles point when Schultz/Norregard def. Vinogradovs/Dragoi 8-6 and Alban/Croad winning over Bizon/Stiburek 8-4 in doubles action.
          In singles play the only wins for SC State were junior Artemiy Nikitin defeating Peter Rousar at the No. 3 position in two sets 6-2, 6-1, while teammate freshman Marius Dragoi knocked off Fraser Croad at the No. 6 position in two sets 6-4, 6-1.
            South Carolina State will return to action on Monday when they host visiting Radford in a crucial non-conference matchup at the SCSU Tennis Courts. First serve begins at 1 p.m.
