SC State Women's Soccer Team to Host Howard on Friday

Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's soccer team returns to Oliver C. Dawson Stadium this Friday, Oct. 4, when they host Howard in a 1 p.m. matinée. This will be the first game in 11 days for the Lady Bulldogs who enters the contest with a 5-6-1 record.

Junior Dominique Brown leads SC State with four goals and one assist for nine points. Junior transfer Janell Cash has eight points (four goals) and senior Kaitlynn Cortez has seven points (two goals-three assists) for the Lady Bulldogs.

Howard enters the game with a 2-5-1 record. Treschelle Gibson has two goals for four points to lead the Lady Bison. Zion Clarke, Owyn Manson, Kelsi Bobbitt and Elaina Ringo all have one goal for two points for Howard.

SC State will hit the road for a three-game swing beginning next Sunday, Oct. 13 when they travel to Newark, N.J. to take on NJIT. The Lady Bulldogs will then face Delaware State (Oct. 15), and Howard (Oct. 17) before returning back to Dawson Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19 when they host NJIT.
